submission guidelines

  1. We publish poetry and prose (fiction, creative nonfiction) from writers of all backgrounds and levels of experience.

  2. Please submit through our email, theofficialmixtapereview@gmail.com, and title your email NAME_(PROSE/POETRY). For example, TAYLOR_POETRY.

  3. Along with a pdf. or docx. of your work, send us a 3rd person bio under 100 words.

  4. Submit your writing with a song. Send us its artist + title.

  5. Submissions are free.

  6. Simultaneous and/or previously published submissions are allowed; it is the submitter's responsibility to ensure that previously published work may be republished.

  7. ​Any genre is permitted; however, if your work includes potentially triggering or sensitive content, please let us know in your email.

  8. Any sexist, homophobic, transphobic, etc. works and AI-generated or unoriginal works will be immediately rejected.

  9. If you were published in a previous issue of ours, you may submit again.

Genre requirements

  1. Poetry: No form or length requirements.

  2. Prose: Submit any form or genre under 2k words.
